Build A Cheap Ring Flash For Your Point-And-Shoot Camera

A ring flash is a great addition to your camera to help improve your shots. Photography website Lomography shows you how to make your own on the cheap with no specialist parts.

Unlike some of the ring flash projects we’ve looked at before, this method requires no bulbs or other lighting, and no special hardware. It also works with a regular point-and-shoot camera rather than only with DSLRs.

Built from a plastic container, an old-school film canister, sheet plastic, tape and foil, the ring flash can be constructed in next to no time. It does not require complicated mounting — just slide it on and off as required — and if you add parchment paper to the inside, you can better diffuse light.

The only tools you need are a drill and a knife, and you can create a decent quality camera accessory for just a few dollars. Hit the link below for the full step-by-step.
